Larry's Classic Tours, Inc. We go the extra mile to create lasting Travel memories OUR STORY
Larry C. Tolentino was one of the pioneers of group and pilgrimage tours in the Philippines.
(1)

He actively organized and managed tours for 50 years before he retired. His daughter, Mary Anne, set up Larry’s Classic Tours Inc. (LCTI) as a Single Proprietorship to continue the highly personalized and caring way Larry treated all his passengers. On April 10, 2017, the erstwhile colleagues of Mary Ann — Rene Ocampo, Jo Uy (Malongayon), and Ched Limson — incorporated the agency to breathe into i

t the legally mandated corporate life of 50 years. Unfortunately, with the COVID-19 pandemic, all travel went on pause while changes in the company happened. Rene Ocampo left LCTI during this time to pursue other endeavors in the cargo airways business. And then on the last quarter of 2022, Larry’s Classic Tours reopened its doors to customers, stronger than ever in its new and current office location. And under the management of new directors — Jocelyn U. Malongayon, Mercedes Limson, and Abelle Sipin. JO UY (MALONGAYON), retired after 16 years from the corporate world, pursued her profession as an accredited BOA, BIR / IC practitioner, and auditor, now manages the agency, full-time. CHED LIMSON, an independent management consultant, with over 35 years of experience as a banking and FinTech executive. ABELLE SIPIN, comes with over 16 years in the airline industry, with her experience covering reservations, ticket sales, administration, and training. WHAT WE DO
Larry’s Classic Tours, Inc. is a tour and travel operator. Mary Anne Tolentino established the company in honor of her father, Larry Tolentino, who loved organizing pilgrimages and tours, customized for his guests’ enjoyment. He took them to beautiful and spiritually-significant places. Mary Ann watched and learned his techniques for 20 years while working as a banking executive. LCTI initially organized pilgrimages to Israel and Marian sites in Europe. But has since then expanded to other unique destinations and activities. Larry’s Classic Tours, Inc. is a member of the Israel Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines (ICCP). RETREATS AND PILGRIMAGES
The signature packages of Larry’s Classic Tours Inc. are retreats and pilgrimages to the Holy Land, as well as spiritually uplifting destinations in Europe. For instance, the company’s Gospel Pilgrimage takes tourists to Israel, where the group visits various places mentioned in the Bible. The Marian Pilgrimage travels from Lisbon, Portugal to Rome, Italy visiting various cultural and religious highlights. DESTINATIONS AND TOURS
Larry’s Classic Tours Inc. brings visitors to a range of destinations all over Europe, the Middle East, and the Americas. In Europe, tours usually have a theme or common objective. These special tours include Christmas packages in Scandinavia, England, or France and pilgrimage packages to Europe’s basilicas and popular churches. The company also organizes study tours to Israel’s agricultural centers. The tours are designed primarily for agriculturists from the Philippines who are looking for practices and technologies they can adopt at home. Israel’s research community is open to accepting guests and sharing their successes.

Not because of luxury.
Not because of social media photos.
Because experiences change people in ways things never will.

The memories stay forever.
The stories stay forever.
The feeling of seeing somewhere new for the first time never really leaves.

Even years later, people rarely remember random purchases.
But they always remember the trip that made them feel alive again.

And honestly, sometimes the best form of self care is simply getting away for a little while.

𝗧𝗛𝗜𝗦 𝗜𝗦 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗛𝗜𝗚𝗛𝗘𝗦𝗧 𝗧𝗥𝗔𝗜𝗡 𝗦𝗧𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝗜𝗡 𝗘𝗨𝗥𝗢𝗣𝗘 🚞❄️ | Jungfraujoch 🇨🇭

Jungfraujoch sits more than 3,400 meters above sea level and is often called the “Top of Europe.” The journey up is part of the experience, with trains passing through tunnels carved directly into the mountains before reaching the high-altitude station.

At the top, visitors are surrounded by snow and glaciers almost year-round, even during summer. Observation decks offer views across the Aletsch Glacier, the longest glacier in the Alps, while ice tunnels and snowy walking areas create an experience that feels completely different from the valleys below. It’s one of Switzerland’s most famous mountain excursions for a reason.

🇦🇺❄️ Did you know? Melbourne is actually closer to Antarctica than it is to Darwin!

At first glance, it sounds unbelievable. But when you look at the map, Australia’s massive size becomes truly clear. The distance from Melbourne to Darwin by road is around 3,754 km, taking almost 39 hours of nonstop driving. Meanwhile, the southern ocean route from Melbourne toward Antarctica is roughly 3,500 km.

Australia is not just a country. It is an entire continent filled with dramatic geographical contrasts. From the tropical heat of Darwin in the Northern Territory to the icy winds flowing from Antarctica toward southern Australia, this land experiences almost every type of climate and landscape imaginable.

🌏 Darwin sits close to Southeast Asia and Papua New Guinea. It has a tropical climate with hot weather, monsoon rains, and humid air throughout much of the year. The city feels more connected to Asia geographically and culturally because of its northern location.

On the other hand, Melbourne in Victoria is known for its cooler climate, four-seasons-in-one-day weather, artistic lifestyle, coffee culture, and proximity to the Southern Ocean. During winter, icy Antarctic winds often travel directly toward southern Australia, making Melbourne much colder than most Australian cities.

🚗 Imagine driving from Melbourne to Darwin: You would cross deserts, highways, small outback towns, dry landscapes, tropical regions, and thousands of kilometers of changing scenery. It is one of the greatest road journeys in the world.

✈️ Even flying between the two cities takes around 4.5 hours, which surprises many international travelers. Australia’s true scale is difficult to understand until you actually travel across it.

❄️ Antarctica, the coldest continent on Earth, may seem distant on a world map, but from southern Australia it is closer than many Australians realize. Scientists, researchers, and expedition teams often travel from Australia to Antarctica for climate and environmental studies.

This comparison reminds us how unique Australia truly is: ☀️ Tropical north
🏜️ Massive outback deserts
🌊 Endless coastlines
❄️ Cool southern oceans
🌆 Modern cities surrounded by nature

Australia is a land where geography constantly surprises people.

Travel teaches things that cannot really be explained until you experience them yourself.

Patience, confidence, adaptability, independence, and perspective somehow all show up somewhere between airports, missed trains, and unexpected adventures.

The best stories rarely happen while staying comfortable at home. They usually happen while exploring somewhere unfamiliar, getting lost, meeting new people, or trying things you never thought you would enjoy.

Every boarding pass ends up carrying more than just a destination.

𝗗𝗶𝗱 𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝗞𝗻𝗼𝘄? 🤔 𝗧𝗼𝗯𝗹𝗲𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗲 & 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗠𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗵𝗼𝗿𝗻

The world-famous Toblerone chocolate owes its design to Switzerland’s most legendary peak, the Matterhorn. ⛰️🍫

First created in 1908, Toblerone became instantly recognizable thanks to its unique triangular shape, which mirrors the jagged silhouette of the mountain itself. Over time, the Matterhorn image on the packaging became just as iconic as the chocolate inside.

However, in 2023, Toblerone’s parent company, Mondelez International, decided to remove the Matterhorn from the wrapper. The reason? Part of the chocolate’s production was moved from Switzerland to Slovakia. Under Switzerland’s strict “Swissness” law, only products made entirely in the country can carry certain national symbols, so the famous mountain had to go.

They say that you don’t just walk the Camino de Santiago, you survive it! But the real magic isn't just reaching the Cathedral in Santiago; it’s the incredible, chaotic, and beautiful mix of people you meet along the way.
From the "Ultra-Pro" crushing 42km before breakfast, to the "Improviser" trusting the Camino will provide, to the "Professional Snorer" keeping the entire albergue awake... we really do see every archetype out there!
While this cartoon is just a bit of fun, it holds a beautiful truth: the Camino brings together people from every walk of life. We all have different paces, different reasons for walking, and different ways of coping with the blisters. But out there on the trail, none of that matters. We look out for each other, share what we have, and respect each other's journeys.
Which Camino personality are you? Or better yet, which one did you have to share a bunk room with? 👇 😂
