Taiwan's Tourism Administration has launched an NT$3.33 billion (US$104 million) promotion package that offers up to NT$8,000 (around US$250) in travel credits specifically for repeat international visitors. The incentive program, which begins rolling out its registration phase on October 1, 2026, targets individual returning travelers to boost regional spending and lift per-visitor economic contribution.
Core Incentives for Repeat Visitors
> Individual Returning Tourists: Eligible repeat travelers have a chance to win NT$5,000 (approx. US$160) in spending credits via a weekly lottery.
> Travel Companion Bonus: Returning visitors who travel with a companion can receive an additional NT$3,000 (approx. US$90), maximizing the total value to NT$8,000.
> Group Tour Subsidies: Overseas tour groups with four or more people can qualify for NT$10,000 to NT$30,000 in subsidies if at least 10% of their group members are repeat visitors.
> Regional Travel Bonus: An additional NT$1,000 subsidy is provided to repeat visitors who book accommodations south of Taichung, in Taitung or Hualien counties, or on outlying islands.
