At sunrise, the waters of Illana Bay begin to shimmer. Along the coast of Parang, boats move quietly across the horizon. Roads slowly come alive. Tricycles begin their daily journeys, carrying workers, students, vendors, and families toward another day.
It is an ordinary morning in a place that has lived through extraordinary chapters of history.
Parang, once known as Polloc, has witnessed the rise and fall of communities, the changing contours of political power, the struggles of the Moro people, and the long, difficult search for peace and self-determination.
