LOOK: List of airports with LGU clearance to resume commercial flights as of 24 August 2020

As of today, 24 August, there are 31 airports in the country whose Local Government Units (LGUs) have issued orders categorically supporting the resumption* of commercial airport operations in their areas of jurisdiction.

*Some airports, while allowing the resumption of commercial flights, are subject to different documentary and passenger LGU restrictions.

FYI to those with AirAsia flights!

AirAsia remains steadfast in supporting government efforts to effectively manage the public health situation.

We are currently coordinating with aviation authorities on how flights will be affected by the government's latest decision to revert some areas, including NCR, to MECQ until August 18.

For now, flights will proceed as scheduled at least for August 3.

Guests with affected flights will be sent timely notifications through email and text. We urge guests to update their contact details in their bookings online to ensure they receive our notifications.

Good news! Now, customers can travel with confidence on Emirates as the airline will cover medical expenses of up to EUR 150,000 and quarantine costs of EUR 100 per day for 14 days, should they be diagnosed with COVID-19 during their travel, while they are away from home. This cover is provided by the airline, free of cost to its customers.

It is offered free to all Emirates customers regadless of class of travel and destination and is effective immediately until 31 October 2020 (first flight to be completed on or before 31 October 2020). It is valid for 31 days from the moment they fly the first sector of their journey.
Emirates is the first airline in the world to offer free, global cover for COVID-19 related costs.

Dubai is now open for tourists with travel and health precautions in place. Travellers will only be accepted on flights if they comply with the eligibility and entry criteria requirements of their destination countries. Visit: www.emirates.com/travelrestrictions

Meanwhile, 6 airports are set to start accepting commercial flights on later dates.
