READ | LGU Pilar of Siargao Island, Surigao del Norte has declared the closure of Magpupungko Beach, Lagoon and Rock Formation starting Jan. 19 to Feb. 19,2020 by virtue of Mun. Ordinance No. 005, an Ordinance Declaring Jan. 19 to Feb. 19,2020 as Tourism Holiday for Magpupungko Tidal Pool and Rock Formation.

This is to give way for its environmental recovery and rehab of tourism facilities. The ordinance prohibits swimming, strolling, picture taking and any form of human activity in the area.
