In the grand tapestry of nature, every small act of kindness towards mangroves weaves a thread of hope for the future. Like roots anchoring the soil, our collective efforts, no matter how small, can nurture and protect these vital ecosystems. Let us be the guardians of the mangroves, for in their survival lies the key to our own well-being. 🌏🍃🌱

All of us in mangrove conservation hope to restore ‘healthy’ mangroves…

But what does a ‘healthy’ mangrove even look like?

🌳 A closed canopy overhead
🍁 A full complement of leaves on the tops of trees
💧 Water flowing through the area and draining unimpeded
🍂 A stable production of leaf debris (also known as ‘litter’)
🌱 Regular regeneration of seedlings
🦀 Rich in biodiversity, particularly a healthy population of estuarine crabs

Call for Scholarship Application!📣📣📣

We are looking for eligible youth in MIMAROPA to be our scholars for the Youth Scholarship Grant on Organic Farming, primarily, with the following qualifications:

✅Out of school youth or Graduate are eligible
✅Living within MIMAROPA Region
✅18-35 years old
✅Willing to undergo 9-month internship in farm
✅Can implement his/her business plan in 12 months

Youth Scholarship Grant on Organic Farming is a highly specialized internship program designed to instill and develop in the trainees an appreciation and eagerness for organic agriculture and eventually adopt it as their source of income. It differs from other scholarship programs which provided tuition fee and stipend only. The program provides start-up support and mentoring for the implementation of their business plan. Thus, empowering the youth to become organic agripreneur.
