A productive step forward for sustainable tourism and responsible stewardship 🌿

On April 21, 2026, the Local Government Unit of Placer, through the Municipal Tourism Office, successfully conducted a Coordination Meeting at the Doña Helene Cultural Center together with Ruel Efren (CENRO) & personnel, Engr. Flynne Paronda (BPLO Designate), Engr. Melani Pampula (MENRO/MTO Designate), and the Cagbantoy Cottage Owners/In-Charge.

The meeting focused on the compliance with environmental protection measures, permitting and licensing requirements, the tourism code, the newly elected Cagbantoy Association Officials, and addressing other emerging concerns affecting Cagbantoy Beach.

Together, we move towards preserving the beauty of Cagbantoy while ensuring safe, organized, and sustainable tourism for all. 🌊✨

A coordination meeting was successfully conducted in preparation for the celebration of Araw ng Lakandula and its Fiesta, as well as the observance of Holy Week, in line with the upcoming Fluvial Parade in honor of Sr. Vicente Ferrer this coming April 5, 2026.

The meeting was headed by Municipal Mayor Hon. Jovymarie Bona Villazon, together with Hon. Abelardo Adlao Calamba Lambus, Punong Barangay of Brgy. Lakandula; Ma’am Anecita Patagan, Municipal Agriculturist; and representatives from the Engineering Office, Coast Guard Substation Placer, and the Municipal Tourism Office.

Key agenda discussed include the traffic management system, safety and security measures—particularly in the port area and among passenger boats, as one of the main tourism entry points/destinations—and other essential matters to ensure a smooth, organized, and successful conduct of the activities.

Through unity and collaboration, we ensure a safe, solemn, and meaningful celebration for the entire community.
