The Municipal Tourism Office successfully conducted the Coordination Meeting for Bae Angot 2026 on August 13, 2026, at the Municipal Tourism Office, Municipal Hall, Prosperidad, Agusan del Sur.

The meeting was presided over by Hon. Catherine Frias, with the presence of Hon. Nishi Ann Coyoca.

The discussion focused on the Bae Angot 2026 Guidelines and Mechanics, including the clustering of participating barangays and stakeholders, to ensure a clear, organized, and fair implementation of the activities.

With the active participation and collaboration of the 18 Punong Barangays, the academe, business sector, national government agencies, and committee members, the meeting laid a strong foundation for well-coordinated preparations for Bae Angot 2026.

Guided by a shared commitment, Bae Angot 2026 aims to showcase the rich culture, traditions, beauty, and unity of the people of Prosperidad, while creating meaningful and memorable experiences for both residents and visitors.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Hon. Frederick Mark P. Mellana and the 20th Sangguniang Bayan headed by Hon. Jesusimo L. Ronquillo for their unwavering support and for empowering everyone toward a united vision for a vibrant, memorable, and successful silver celebration of Angot Festival 2026.

The Saduw Tu Angot Coordination Meeting and Angot-Based Dance Workshop was successfully conducted on July 31 & August 9, 2026 as part of the continuing efforts to strengthen stakeholder collaboration and promote the preservation, safeguarding, and transmission of indigenous cultural heritage.

The coordination meeting provided a venue for concerned offices, partner institutions, cultural practitioners, and community representatives to discuss program directions, harmonize plans, and strengthen coordination toward the effective implementation of initiatives supporting the Angot cultural tradition.

The succeeding Angot-Based Dance Workshop provided participants with an opportunity to engage in cultural learning through traditional movement and artistic expression. The activity emphasized the importance of understanding, respecting, and sustaining indigenous knowledge and practices through meaningful community participation and intergenerational transmission.

Through these initiatives, stakeholders reaffirm their commitment to protecting and promoting indigenous cultural heritage, strengthening cultural identity, and ensuring that traditional knowledge and practices continue to be valued and passed on to future generations.

The activity further underscores the importance of sustained collaboration among government agencies, local communities, cultural bearers, practitioners, and other stakeholders in advancing cultural preservation and development.

The Bae Angot 2026 Screening was successfully conducted on August 1, 2026, at the Municipal Conference Hall, Municipal Hall, Poblacion, Prosperidad, Agusan del Sur, marking the official preliminary activity of the Search for Bae Angot 2026 in celebration of the 25th Angot Festival.

The screening provided aspiring candidates with the opportunity to showcase their personality, communication skills, confidence, and overall potential to become ambassadors of Prosperidad.

The Municipal Tourism Office extends its sincere appreciation to the distinguished Board of Judges: Ms. Ancin Marie Barrientos, Bae Angot 2025; Ms. Venus Osico, Bae Umajam 2024 and Bae Sabuyakan 2024; and Mr. Ralph Mariel Gavino, Pageant Trainer, for generously sharing their expertise and helping identify the official candidates who will continue their journey toward the coveted Bae Angot 2026 crown.

The Municipal Tourism Office also extends its heartfelt gratitude to our Municipal Mayor, Hon. Frederick Mark Plaza Mellana, for his visionary leadership, unwavering support, and steadfast commitment to advancing the Municipality's tourism programs and initiatives. The Local Government of Prosperidad through the Municipal Tourism Council, successfully conducted the 1st Coordination Meeting for Angot Festival 2026 last July 17, 2026, at Jojo Catering, New Leyte, Barangay Awa, Prosperidad, Agusan del Sur.

The meeting was presided over by Hon. Catherine Frias with the support of Hon. Magdamit, Hon. Bastareche, and Hon Nishi Coyoca.

The agenda focused on the Angot Festival 2026 Calendar of Activities, particularly the planning, scheduling, and coordination of the festival's various programs and events. Special attention was given to the festival's major highlights, including Bae Angot 2026 and Saduw Tu Angot 2026, Agrifair, and Float parade ensuring that all committees are aligned in their respective roles and responsibilities.

With the active participation and collaboration of the 32 Barangays, Academe, religious sector, business sector, national agencies and other partner stakeholders, the meeting laid a strong foundation for a well-coordinated preparations.

Guided by a shared commitment, the festival aims to celebrate the rich culture, traditions, and unity of the people of Prosperidad while creating meaningful experiences for residents and visitors alike.
