The celebration is especially meaningful to PPSRNP because caves and karst are at the heart of the Park’s natural heritage. Formed through millions of years of geological processes, the 𝗦𝘁. 𝗣𝗮𝘂𝗹 𝗟𝗶𝗺𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 creates the spectacular landscapes and underground systems that make the Park globally significant. It has 𝟭𝟰𝟴 𝘀𝘂𝗿𝘃𝗲𝘆𝗲𝗱 𝗰𝗮𝘃𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗲, and was declared a 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗚𝗲𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝘂𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗯𝘆 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗲 𝗼𝗻 𝗚𝗲𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲𝘀 𝗼𝗻 𝗗𝗲𝗰𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟰, 𝟮𝟬𝟬𝟯.
