Planning to visit Mt. Maruyog, the Strawberry Farm in Brgy. Imulnod, or other destinations located within the Mt. Mantalingahan Protected Landscape (MMPL)?

Before heading out, please coordinate first with the 𝐌𝐭. 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐡𝐚𝐧 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐋𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐬𝐜𝐚𝐩𝐞 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐀𝐫𝐞𝐚 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐎𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐞 (𝐌𝐌𝐏𝐋-𝐏𝐀𝐌𝐎) and secure the necessary permit/authorization required for your intended visit.

The Mt. Mantalingahan Protected Landscape is a legally recognized protected area and one of the important natural landscapes of southern Palawan. It encompasses portions of the municipalities of Brooke’s Point, Bataraza, Sofronio Española, Quezon, and Rizal, and is managed under the framework of protected area laws and regulations.

𝐂𝐨𝐨𝐫𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐌𝐌𝐏𝐋-𝐏𝐀𝐌𝐎 𝐡𝐞𝐥𝐩𝐬 𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐯𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐬:
✅ Follow applicable protected area rules and regulations;
✅ Complete the necessary permits or authorizations before entering or conducting activities within the area;
✅ Are properly informed of site-specific guidelines and conditions;
✅ Help authorities monitor visitor activities and promote visitor safety; and
✅ Contribute to the protection and conservation of forests, wildlife, watersheds, biodiversity, and other natural resources within the protected landscape.

Mt. Bariri is located within the 𝐌𝐭. 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐡𝐚𝐧 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐋𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐬𝐜𝐚𝐩𝐞 (𝐌𝐌𝐏𝐋). As such, any tourism or recreational activities within the area must first be 𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐨𝐫𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐝 𝐛𝐲 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐀𝐫𝐞𝐚 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐁𝐨𝐚𝐫𝐝 (𝐏𝐀𝐌𝐁) in accordance with existing rules and regulations.

To ensure compliance with environmental protection policies and proper management of the protected area, 𝐌𝐭. 𝐁𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐫𝐢 𝐢𝐬 𝐜𝐮𝐫𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐥𝐲 𝐂𝐋𝐎𝐒𝐄𝐃 𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐩𝐮𝐛𝐥𝐢𝐜 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐡𝐢𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬.
