PPPTGA Returns as Guiding Lights for the Children of Puerto Princesa

Puerto Princesa City — With hearts full of hope and service, the Association of Puerto Princesa Palawan Tour Guides once again visited the Group Home of Puerto Princesa and the Home of Hope Boystown in Barangay Mangingisda, continuing its commitment to uplift and inspire children in care.

Last year, the Association brought joy through sports activities, a magical performance by Master Magician Kuya Ernie, and a show-stopping presentation by Ms. Sunshine. This year, guided by the theme “Be Our Light That Leads You Out of the Darkness,” the outreach went beyond toys and food. The focus shifted to something lasting—sharing skills and creativity.

The children were introduced to puppet-making, a simple yet meaningful activity designed to spark imagination, build confidence, and provide a sustainable skill they can enjoy as they grow. More importantly, it is a skill they can one day share with their own communities as they move forward in their journey of rehabilitation.

The Association hopes that in its own small way, it has made a lasting impact on the lives it has touched—planting seeds of creativity, hope, and self-belief.

Heartfelt thanks go to the CSWD of Puerto Princesa, its management, and staff for the warm accommodation and continued partnership.

Until next year, we look forward to creating more meaningful moments, brighter smiles, and memories that truly matter.

PPPTGA Joins “Paskong Masaya sa Puerto Princesa” Tourism Night with a Heartfelt Musical Tribute

The Palawan Puerto Princesa Tourguide Association (PPPTGA) proudly took part in this year’s Paskong Masaya sa Puerto Princesa – Tourism Night, celebrating the warmth, unity, and festive spirit of the holiday season.

Representing the association were Ms. Sunshine Gouldie Canaria and Mr. Jefferson Bulan, who delivered a heartfelt Christmas performance that left the audience with goosebumps and reminded everyone of the true meaning of Christmas—hope, joy, and togetherness.

Tour Guides Join Free Basic Sign Language Training to Strengthen Inclusivity in Tourism

The Puerto Princesa Palawan Tour Guide Association proudly extends its deepest gratitude to the City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO) and the City Tourism Office (CTO) for offering the FREE Basic Sign Language Training—an important initiative that empowers tourism frontliners to foster a more inclusive and compassionate community.

This training marks a significant step toward building an environment where no one is left behind. By learning basic sign language, tour guides become a bridge between the hearing and the Deaf community, ensuring that communication barriers are minimized and that every guest—regardless of ability—feels welcomed, understood, and valued.

ASEAN Hospitality Ambassadors Training Program Wraps Up: Going Beyond the Minimum Standard

November 13, 2025 – Puerto Princesa City– The three-day ASEAN Hospitality Ambassadors Training Program, held from November 11–13, 2025, concluded with resounding success, marking another milestone in elevating hospitality standards across the region.

Thanks to the strong partnership and support of the Department of Tourism (DOT), the AAMD, and the City Tourism Office, the training gathered participants from various sectors of the tourism and hospitality industry for an immersive experience under the theme “Top Grading: Over and Beyond Minimum Standard.”

Under the guidance of our esteemed speaker, Sir Buen, participants explored key topics such as service design, etiquette, and micro storytelling, all aimed at strengthening the Filipino brand of hospitality and aligning it with ASEAN standards.

The sessions inspired participants to see their roles with fresh eyes — not merely as service providers but as cultural storytellers and ambassadors of Filipino warmth. By the final day, the transformation was evident: stronger confidence, deeper understanding, and renewed pride in representing the Philippines on the ASEAN stage.

As the seminar closed, participants shared heartfelt reflections — and yes, “sepanx is real.” The bonds formed and the shared experiences made parting bittersweet, a true sign of how deeply the team connected and grew together.
