🌿🏞️ ABORLAN’S STORY ON WHEELS! 🎨✨

👑🇵🇭🌴 From Palawan to the World!

Palawan has always been known for its breathtaking islands, crystal-clear waters, and world-class natural wonders. This time, however, it's not just our destinations making headlines—it's one of our very own.

Congratulations to Oliver Eugen Guzman Kretz, a proud Palawenyo and Palawan State University alumnus, for bringing home the Man of the World 2026 crown!

At just 24 years old, Oliver stood out among candidates from different countries and proudly represented the Philippines on the international stage. His victory is a reminder that Palawan doesn't only produce beautiful places—it also produces talented, hardworking, and inspiring individuals.

A graduate of Financial Management from Palawan State University, Oliver's journey from student life to the global spotlight is proof that dreams can take you far when paired with dedication, confidence, and perseverance.

Today, the entire province celebrates with him.

From the beaches of El Nido and Coron to the streets of Puerto Princesa and the towns across mainland Palawan, we proudly say:
✨ "Palawenyo ako."

Congratulations, Oliver! Thank you for bringing honor to the Philippines and making Palawan proud.

👑 Mabuhay ka, Man of the World 2026!

🌿💚 Did You Know? Palawan Lost Over 57,000 Hectares of Forest in 22 Years

But behind those breathtaking views, there’s a story that deserves our attention.

According to a recent study, southern Palawan lost around 57,715 hectares of forest cover between 2001 and 2023 within ECAN Core and Buffer Zones. The biggest contributor? Kaingin (slash-and-burn farming), which accounts for more than 77% of the recorded forest loss.

But this isn't just about numbers on a chart.

Every forest lost means fewer habitats for wildlife, reduced protection against floods and landslides, and a growing challenge in preserving the natural beauty that makes Palawan one of the world's most loved island destinations.

The good news? Solutions are possible.

By supporting sustainable livelihoods, promoting responsible farming practices, and working together as communities, we can help ensure that future generations will still enjoy the forests, rivers, wildlife, and natural wonders that make Palawan truly special.

After all, protecting Palawan isn't just the job of government
agencies—it's something we can all be part of.

🌱 Because the best souvenir we can leave for the future is a greener Palawan.
