HelloSafe, a Canada-based travel insurance comparison firm, has officially apologized and pulled down its controversial "2025 Safety Index" after facing backlash for ranking the Philippines as the most dangerous country in the world. 😡

In a public apology issued on July 15, the company admitted the ranking sparked misunderstanding and pledged to audit their methodology. The index has now been suspended. 📊

"We never intended to defame any country, including the Philippines," HelloSafe said, expressing regret over the negative impression the list caused.
