He said that AirAsia Philippines will end the year at 18 aircraft. It currently has 16 operational planes.

Mr. Dailisan said that supply issues and realignment of priorities have affected the airline’s recovery target.

Meanwhile, Mr. Isla said that Air-Asia Philippines is looking to add more routes next year as it awaits more aircraft.

“We want to reopen General Santos, Zamboanga, and Dumaguete. We’re looking towards the second half of next year. That’s in our planning already,” he said.

“We want to get more aircraft so that when we fly there, we will not only fly three times a week. We want to fly almost every day and in good schedules,” he added.

Flexible Options for Passengers with Flights from Davao
As of August 26, 2024; 1:00 AM

Cebu Pacific is aware of the ongoing demonstrations in Davao City which affect access to Francisco Bangoy International Airport.

Our immediate priority is to ensure the safety of our passengers, crew and staff. Passengers are advised to allow extra time for their journey to the airport as they may experience longer travel times.

CEB is also offering flexible options, which include free rebooking and travel fund, to passengers who wish to postpone their flights from Davao. Passengers on the following flights scheduled to depart on August 26, 2024 may avail themselves of these options through the Manage Booking portal of the CEB website https://brnw.ch/21wM3ZF up to two (2) hours before their scheduled time of departure:

DG 6673: Davao – Zamboanga
DG 6872: Davao – Siargao
5J 962: Davao – Manila

This is a developing situation, and some flight changes may take place. Passengers are advised to check the status of their flights via https://brnw.ch/21wM3ZG and update their contact details via the Manage Booking portal to receive email notifications on flight reminders and updates.

📌𝘽𝙊𝘼𝙍𝘿𝙄𝙉𝙂 𝙂𝘼𝙏𝙀 - a place or area where all passengers are assigned to stay while waiting to board the specific flight. Every airport has several boarding gate numbers. Always see the boarding pass and check the assigned boarding gate number for your specific flight. You may also check the airport screen/monitor where updated flight details are displayed and posted. Always ask for some assistance from the airline staff/personnel regarding your flight details and updates.
-𝗕𝗢𝗔𝗥𝗗𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗚𝗔𝗧𝗘 𝗰𝗹𝗼𝘀𝗲𝘀 𝟮𝟬 𝗺𝗶𝗻𝘂𝘁𝗲𝘀 𝗯𝗲𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗱𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲. If you arrive late or less than 20 minutes before departure time, you will not be accepted and allowed to board the aircraft. Better to stay at the boarding gate and keep checking and monitoring some updates, since there are some instances of sudden changes of assigned boarding gate and departure time adjustments and boarding time adjustments.
-𝗕𝗢𝗔𝗥𝗗𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗧𝗜𝗠𝗘 -The time when the passengers can board the plane is known as boarding time.
-𝗗𝗘𝗣𝗔𝗥𝗧𝗨𝗥𝗘 𝗧𝗜𝗠𝗘-The time when the plane leaves the gate of the airport is known as departure time. Boarding time is followed by departure time.
📌𝗖𝗛𝗘𝗖𝗞 𝗜𝗡 𝗕𝗔𝗚𝗚𝗔𝗚𝗘 refers to items handed over during the check-in process to be placed in the aircraft's cargo hold, within the specified guidelines.
📌𝘼𝙄𝙍𝙋𝙊𝙍𝙏 𝘾𝙃𝙀𝘾𝙆 𝙄𝙉 𝘾𝙊𝙐𝙉𝙏𝙀𝙍 - will open 2 to 3 hours before departure time and closes 45 minutes before departure time
📌𝙊𝙉𝙇𝙄𝙉𝙀 𝘾𝙃𝙀𝘾𝙆 𝙄𝙉 - will open 48 hours before departure date & time and closes 4 hours before time.
-If online check in is already closed, proceed to the airport check in counter.
-Screenshot the online boarding pass and if you don't have check in baggage, proceed directly to the assigned boarding gate that can be seen in the boarding pass and posted or displayed at the airport screen monitor and wait until the flight boarding. Online boarding pass is valid for those who don't have check in baggage.
-If you have CHECK IN BAGGAGE, you need to check in again at the airport check in counter to drop and check in your baggage. You will be issued another updated boarding pass.
-Always note the check in counter closes time. If the check in counter is closed, your baggage will not be accepted. So it's useless, even if you already did the online check in but your baggage is not checked in. Once you check in both online and at the airport counter, you cannot rebook your flight anymore. That is considered a flown and totally used flight. There are some other instances if done check in either online or at the airport counter, but the flight is delayed/rescheduled from the original departure date/time especially major changes like more than 6 hours delay, there are some applicable options provided either free rebooking or refund. But if you have check in baggage, it is better to proceed the flight for a less hassle of requesting and pulling out your check in baggage and there are some instances that the check in baggage cannot pull out anymore due to it being already loaded in the aircraft and already in the cart ready and about for loading. Always seek assistance with the airline staff/personnel directly once you are already in the airport. Approach them all the time since all access, decisions, control will be at the airline.
-NOTE that there are some minor delays, changes, rescheduling of departure time that has no free rebooking and refund options given. So you must proceed and take the flight.
📌𝙄𝙛 𝘼𝙄𝙍𝙋𝙊𝙍𝙏 𝘾𝙃𝙀𝘾𝙆 𝙄𝙉 𝘾𝙊𝙐𝙉𝙏𝙀𝙍 is already closed, you cannot take and board the flight anymore. Your flight ticket will be considered NO SHOW, FLOWN, FORFEITED, NO LONGER VALID. Cannot rebook anymore due to much higher penalties rather than booking a new flight ticket.
📌So, always be reminded to be there at the airport at least 2 to 3 hours before departure time for check in and boarding preparation.

BREAKING: Cebu Pacific will launch direct flights from Iloilo to Hong Kong and Iloilo to Singapore and vice versa after a four-year halt due to the pandemic.

Michelle Eve de Guzman, Cebu Pacific’s Marketing Director, said the daily Iloilo-Hong Kong flights will be launched starting October 27, 2024.
