Experience The MOST ENCHANTING Christmas Lights Display in Manila!

The Intramuros Administration (IA), in partnership with Meralco and One Meralco Foundation, illuminates the historic Walled City with festive Christmas lights with the official launch on Thursday, 21 November 2024, of the Meralco Liwanag Park in Intramuros.

Inspired by the annual Liwanag Park at the Meralco main office in Pasig City, the Meralco Liwanag Park in Intramuros transforms Plaza Roma in front of The Manila Cathedral into a magical Christmas wonderland.

The historic square has been adorned with a stunning Christmas display, with pathways lined with stars and solar lamps. Major features include an arch of lights, a giant Christmas tree of electric meter covers, the iconic Meralco tranvia, and a giant parol.

The Meralco Liwanag Park in Intramuros is also a testament to Meralco and One Meralco Foundation's commitment to bringing joy and light to communities.

Christmas is just around the corner, and we can already feel the Christmas spirit wherever we go. The Pasig River Esplanade is one of the places we can visit this holiday season. Its neo-classical design is captivating and complements the designs of the Jones Bridge, the Manila Central Post Office, and the historic district of Intramuros.

Ali Mall in Quezon City, Philippines has a rich history as one of the country's oldest malls and a pioneer of many shopping mall concepts.

Ali Mall opened on June 30, 1976, making it the first enclosed, fully air-conditioned shopping mall in the Philippines.

The mall is named after American boxer Muhammad Ali, who won the 1975 "Thrilla in Manila" fight against Joe Frazier at the Araneta Coliseum. Ali was the guest of honor at the mall's inauguration.

Ali Mall was the first mall in the Philippines to have a cineplex, food court, and indoor skating rink. It was also the first integrated shopping and parking complex. Ali Mall is located in Araneta City, Cubao, Quezon City, next to SM Cubao.

Ali Mall has been renovated and expanded over the years, including adding a government and banking center, and a pedestrian link to SM Department Store.

Araneta City, Cubao, has stunning holiday decorations, including a gigantic Christmas tree.

We strolled from Smart Araneta to Gateway Malls 1 and 2 and stopped by Parolan, near Farmers Garden. Join us again while walking along the glittering Araneta City—the City of Firsts.
