Heads up, travelers!

Starting March 29, 2026 (Sunday), all international flights of AirAsia Philippines (Z2) and AirAsia Malaysia (AK) will operate from Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 1 (T1) instead of Terminal 3 (T3).

This terminal transfer is part of the ongoing reassignment program led by New NAIA Infrastructure Corporation (NNIC), aimed at improving terminal operations and enhancing the overall passenger experience at the country’s main gateway.

With this update, all international flight services, including check-in, boarding, and baggage claim, will take place at NAIA Terminal 1.

Guests are advised to proceed directly to NAIA Terminal 1 and arrive at least 3 hours before their scheduled departure. Please follow terminal signage for guidance and assistance.

Faster processing at NAIA

More airlines have now joined NAIA’s biometric check-in to boarding process. Using facial recognition to help speed up check-in, bag drop, security screening, and boarding, you can now move through the airport with fewer stops and less waiting.

What you can use (For participating airlines and eligible flights)

✔️Self Check-In: Print your boarding pass and baggage tags at the kiosk.

✔️Self Bag Drop: After tagging your luggage, drop it off at designated self bag drop kiosks for faster processing.

✔️Security Screening Gates: Go through security using automated lanes.

✔️Biometric Boarding: Board your flight using facial recognition at selected gates.

Note: Remember to scan your passport and complete your facial registration at the self check-in kiosk. This one-time setup allows you to use all automated lanes throughout your departure.
