Day 2 | Basic Tourism Statistics Training
The training was graced by the presence of DOT Region III Regional Director Richard G. Daenos, Ph.D., who emphasized the importance of accurate and reliable tourism statistics in tourism planning and development.
The day’s session was led by Ms. Brena Mae Membrere, who discussed the significance of domestic and international tourism, the various forms and systems used for collecting and maintaining tourism databases by both Local Government Units (LGUs) and tourism stakeholders, as well as the LGU Supply Data Forms utilized in tourism statistics and reporting.
Through this learning opportunity, participants continue to enhance their knowledge and skills in tourism data management, contributing to evidence-based decision-making and sustainable tourism development.
