Under 𝐑𝐞𝐩𝐮𝐛𝐥𝐢𝐜 𝐀𝐜𝐭 𝐍𝐨. 𝟕𝟓𝟗𝟔 and 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐜𝐥𝐚𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐍𝐨. 𝟒𝟒𝟒 𝐬. 𝟏𝟗𝟔𝟓, 𝐒𝐞𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝟐 has been designated as a special nonworking holiday throughout Nueva Ecija to honor our province’s cultural and historical legacy.

The “Unang Sigaw” of Nueva Ecija is a significant event in Philippine history, acknowledging our province’s important role in resisting Spanish colonial rule. It was led by the 𝟑 𝐅𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐬 of the Cry of Nueva Ecija: 𝐆𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐨 𝐋𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐚, 𝐆𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐏𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐥𝐞𝐨𝐧 𝐕𝐚𝐥𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐞, and 𝐆𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐮𝐞𝐥 𝐓𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐨.

Happy Independence day 🇵🇭

Emilio Aguinaldo, also a member of the Katipunan, saw an opportunity for liberation when the U.S. declared war on Spain on April 25, 1898, over its treatment of Cuba. On June 12, he proclaimed independence and a year later, even became the first president of the Philippine Republic.

History. On May 28, 1898, the Philippine flag was first unfurled after the Philippine Revolutionary Army defeated Spanish forces in the Battle at Alapan, Imus, Cavite. The national flag was yet to be formally announced on the day of that battle. It was formally presented to the people on June 12, 1898.

WATER POLO.. Team R.E.D.
Penaranda Nueva Ecija

The group was established on July 2015 during the first "Pilipinas Beach Water Polo Competition" at Subic, Philippines. Team R.E.D. is made up of ex-national water polo players in the Philippines who still continue to compete in local and international games for the love of water polo.

The team often trains alongside the Philippine National Water Polo Team in preparation for upcoming events. Team R.E.D. consistently participates in Beach Water Polo competitions, achieving notable rankings such as:

• 1st Pilipinas Beach Water Polo Competition, July 2015, Philippines: Bronze medal
• 3rd Hong Kong International Beach Water Polo, Nov 2015, Hong Kong: Silver medal
• 6th Hong Kong International Beach Water Polo, Oct 2018, Hong Kong: Champion (Panasonic Cup)
• KRSA International Masters Water Polo, Dec 2022, Malaysia: Champion
