The CTU San Remigio Extension Campus once again celebrated academic excellence and global opportunity as it held a warm and inspiring Send-Off Ceremony for its second batch of International Hospitality Management interns. The occasion highlighted not only the dedication of the students but also the campus’ continuing rise in international training partnerships.
Five promising students were honored as they prepare to begin their overseas On-the-Job Training. Four interns—Edjelyn S. Mendola, Ma. Anthonet G. Eballena, Razel B. Niez, and Arjie A. Apawan—are set for immersive industry training at the world-renowned Hyatt Regency in Hong Kong. Meanwhile, Rudyard A. Tipontipon Jr. is bound for Thailand, where he will be joining the dynamic team of Best Western Bangtao Resort and Spa.
Campus leaders—Dr. Roda L. Larga, Dr. Tracy L. Mantos, Prof. Lyle Jane L. Carbonquillo, and Prof. Sherwin P. Sanoria—graced the event, joined by the proud families of the interns who expressed full support for their children’s international journey.
The ceremony was rich with guidance and inspiration. Prof. Carbonquillo emphasized the value of S.M.I.L.E., reminding interns to remain service-driven, mindful, initiative-oriented, lifelong learners, and empathetic individuals.
Dr. Larga then shared her thoughtful acronym P.R.A.Y.E.R., encouraging the students to prepare, remain purposeful, adapt confidently, yearn for growth, engage with diverse cultures, and reflect on their development.
Prof. Sanoria added his heartfelt advice to welcome discomfort, noting that stepping outside one’s comfort zone is where true learning and transformation unfold.
With these empowering messages and the unwavering support of the CTU community, the five interns head into their international placements ready to gain experiences that will shape their future careers and inspire fellow CTU students for years to come.
