📢 UPDATE | Construction of Sta. Josefa Municipal Water System
The Office of the Municipal Engineer spearheaded the rehabilitation of the main transmission line from the DAM intake box to the water reservoir tank. Through a series of tests conducted last year, it was identified that the system had a problem where the existing 1,000 cu.m water tank was filling very slow due to the high elevation of the transmission line.
Excavation works started on February 2, 2026, and were completed on February 28, 2026. The activity was experiencing delays due to persistent heavy rainfall.
We are happy to announce that the rehabilitation has finally been completed. Previously, it took 3 days to fully fill the reservoir tank. Now, it only takes 2 hours and 35 minutes to fill the tank even when the water passes through the filtration system, the result remains the same.
We extend our sincere gratitude to everyone who supported this initiative, especially to our Municipal Mayor, Hon. Richard M. Plaza, for his continuous support to the office. This project would not have been mobilized without the help of our partner contractor of the LGU who offer their heavy equipment services for FREE. Also, for the Contractor of Cluster I for the Assistance, Fuel and salary of the operator.
Daghang salamat sa inyong suporta!
Installation and repair of some fittings are still ongoing due to high water pressure. Within the next few days, the improved water supply is expected to reach Barangay Poblacion.
