The Philippine Travel Agencies Association (PTAA) addressed concerns surrounding the suspension of Korean visa accreditation affecting some of its member travel agencies during an interview with Alvin Elchico and Doris Bigornia on DZMM Teleradyoโ€™s Gising Pilipinas.

While the issue has raised concerns within the travel industry, South Korea remains open to Filipino travelers. PTAA emphasized the importance of truthful travel intentions, compliance with visa conditions, and responsible travel as the industry continues to navigate the situation.

In a statement released by PTAA, the association reiterated its commitment to professionalism, integrity, and responsible travel, emphasizing the shared responsibility of travelers and travel agencies in upholding proper visa practices.

โ€œPTAA therefore urges all Filipinos to travel responsibly, comply with the laws of their destination countries, and help not only protect, but also strengthen the reputation of the Filipino passport worldwide.โ€

The association likewise reminded its member agencies to exercise due diligence in every transaction and to decline bookings where the stated purpose of travel appears untruthful.
