The Municipality of Santander proudly joins the Halad sa Pagtuo procession in honor of Saint Gabriel the Archangel — The Messenger of God. 🕊️

The procession begins at the Cebu Provincial Capitol and proceeds toward the Cebu City Sports Complex, bringing together devotees from different municipalities across Cebu.

Joining the meaningful celebration are SB Member Hon. Margie M. Cajigas, Board Member Hon. Dr. Stanley Caminero of the Second District, and fellow devotees from the Municipality of Santander.

Together, we walk in faith, unity, and devotion as we celebrate Cebu’s rich faith, culture, and tradition.

The Municipality of Santander is proud and honored to take part in Halad sa Pagtuo 2026 — A Celebration of Culture, Faith, and Tradition, as we pay tribute to our beloved patron saint, Saint Gabriel the Archangel. 🙏

To all our fellow Tañonganons, devotees, families, and friends, we invite you to join us in this special and meaningful procession this afternoon at 2:30 PM, from the Capitol to the Abellana Sports Complex.

Let us come together as one community, walking with faith in our hearts, devotion in our prayers, and gratitude in our souls. May this sacred journey remind us of the strength of our faith, the beauty of our traditions, and the unity that binds us as a community.

May the blessings of San Gabriel Arcangel continue to guide, protect, and inspire every Tañonganon.

The Municipality of Santander proudly emerged as the 1st Place – Best Booth during the 1st Governor's Zero Hunger Run, one of the highlights of the 457th Founding Anniversary of the Province of Cebu.

This achievement reflects the creativity, teamwork, and dedication of everyone who contributed to showcasing Santander's rich local products, culture, and warm hospitality.

The awarding was made even more meaningful with the presence of Provincial Tourism Officer Ms. Rowena Lu Montecillo, whose unwavering support for Cebu's tourism initiatives continues to inspire local government units in promoting their unique destinations and heritage.

Our heartfelt gratitude to the Province of Cebu, under the leadership of Governor Pamela Baricuatro, for spearheading this meaningful celebration that promotes unity, local pride, and the shared goal of achieving Zero Hunger.

The Local Government Unit of Santander is all set for the 1st Governor's Zero Hunger Run in celebration of the 457th Founding Anniversary of the Province of Cebu.

Joining fellow Local Government Units from across Cebu, LGU Santander proudly showcases one of its renowned local delicacies, Tostado, as a special giveaway to participating runners. This initiative highlights the municipality's rich culinary heritage while supporting the Province's commitment to promoting local products and the Zero Hunger advocacy.
