well , an interesting weekend , at the international comp here on the island , lets just say - they need to sort out the rules for everyone regarding the boats before letting guests enter , people travel a long way to get here and costs alot of money to come , only to find out after they have paid that the rules are different for ( yacht class and bunca ) if the guests had known what was happening , they probably would not of come ,especially after having paid ,then finding out the rules late into opening day its not easy for seniors to use a bunca especially if they need to go to the toilet , thats why they book bigger boats for comfort ,
and as for what is classed as a yacht and bunca , the mind boggles !
we will leave it at that , as for myself on day one and a new captain on the bunca , as dungay was on the charter , i think i could of swam faster than the speed we trolled at , not one strike which is not surprising especially telling the guy where i wanted to fish , and the captain going the other way all day along with mistake after mistake , we were no where near the action spots we knew about !, it did not get much better as we progressed into the other two days ,at one point i think we were half way to cuba ! but 13 strikes in the last two days and not one fish sums up how it went for me , it pays to have good crew ! well done to junior for getting lucky and winning , it was a weekend of many marlin strikes all round , and anyone could of won ,, onwards we go !
