Wrapped in banana leaves and shaped like a cone, Sayongsong is one of the traditional delicacies of Surigao.

Made from glutinous rice, coconut milk, sugar, and peanuts, it has a soft, chewy texture with a rich coconut flavor and just the right amount of sweetness.

Its distinctive banana-leaf wrapper and unique shape make it easy to recognize, but what makes Sayongsong special is its connection to the local food culture of Surigao.
