October 1944 — Battle of the Surigao Strait 🇵🇭⚓

Amid the chaos of war during the Battle of Leyte Gulf, Filipino civilians bravely came out to assist PT Boats in rescuing survivors after Japanese warships were destroyed in the Surigao Strait by the forces of the U.S. Seventh Fleet.

This historic moment reflects the courage, compassion, and resilience of the Filipino people during World War II — helping amidst danger, standing together in one of the largest naval battles in history.
