Fr. de Lepper belonged to a generation of missionaries who left their homeland to serve communities thousands of kilometers away. His life and ministry became part of the story of San Nicolas de Tolentino Parish in Mainit, where the early MSC missionaries helped establish and strengthen the Catholic faith among the people.
Today, this photograph gives us a glimpse of the priest behind a name found in historical recordsโa missionary whose story is now part of Mainit's ecclesiastical heritage.
A face from the past.
A missionary remembered.
A legacy worth preserving.
๐๏ธ May the memory of Pater Nicolaas Joannes de Lepper, MSC, and the pioneering Missionaries of the Sacred Heart continue to inspire generations of Mainitnon Catholics.
