🏛️ DID YOU KNOW? | THE STORY BEHIND MOZAR STREET

Have you ever wondered who Antonio Grecia Mozar was and why a street in Mainit bears his name?

📜 Antonio G. Mozar was Mainit’s first municipal president and later its first elected mayor.

When Mainit officially became a municipality in 1931, Antonio G. Mozar became its first municipal president. He later served as mayor from 1931 to 1934, helping lead the newly established municipality during its early years.

He was the son of Lino Libarnes Mozar and Basilisa Grecia.

Today, Mozar Street stands as a reminder of one of the pioneering leaders in Mainit’s local government history.

🕰️ A glimpse into Mainit’s past

1931 — Mainit became an independent municipality.

1931–1934 — Antonio G. Mozar served as the town’s first municipal president and mayor, according to historical accounts.

Today — His name lives on through Mozar Street.

✨ Street names are more than signs along the road. They preserve the memory of the people who helped shape our community.
