Mano Pahoy, the official mascot of Calbiga’s Pahoy-Pahoy Festival, draws inspiration from the humble scarecrow or β€œpahoy” traditionally seen standing quietly in the middle of rice fields, shooing away maya birds that feast on the ripening palay.

Mano Pahoy is Calbiga’s gentle β€œguardian of their fields, forests, and farmers.”
