‼️ TRIVIA ‼️
Did you know⁉️
1. Marine Marvel. Panglao Island is home to more than 250 newly discovered species of crustaceans and mollusk making it one of the richest marine biodiversity spots in the world.
2. No Boat Needed. Unlike many Philippine islands, you don’t need a boat to get to Panglao. It’s connected to mainland Bohol by two bridges, making it super accessible by land.
3. Alona Beach’s Starry Name. Alona Beach was named after Filipina actress *Alona Alegre*, who filmed a movie there in the 1970s. Locals started calling the beach after her and the name stuck.
4. Cave with a Secret Pool. Hinagdanan Cave features a natural underground pool that glows turquoise when sunlight filters through holes in the cave ceiling. Yes, you can swim in it!
5. Watchtower Legacy. The Panglao Watchtower, built in the 1850s, was once the tallest structure in Bohol and served as a lookout during the Spanish colonial era.
