Can-umantad Falls

Derived from the Old Bisayan words ‘kan-uman’ which means sixty and ‘tad’ means fathom. Regarded as the tallest waterfalls in the entire province of Bohol. The cascade lies along Cadapdapan River that supplies irrigation to the rice terraces nested above it before flowing downstream. At the height of 60 feet, Can-Umantad Falls is said to be the tallest in the province.

Cambaol in Alicia Municipality is the place to be. Dubbed as one of the top Instagrammed places in Bohol, vast greenery covers the incredibly beautiful landscape that goes on and on as far as your eyes can see.

The Bohol Mahogany Forest, more commonly known as the Bilar Man-Made Forest, is a dense forest stretching two kilometers along the border of Loboc and Bilar towns in Bohol. The forest is mainly made up of white and red mahogany trees. It is part of a reforestation project started over 50 years ago.

When one enters the forest, one will notice that the temperature changes abruptly, especially during the hot season. Once one is under the shade of the trees, everything cools down.

The Hinagdanan Cave, is one of the many wondrous caves in the island province of Bohol.

The cave was accidentally discovered by a farmer; while clearing his land he found 2 holes, curious, he dropped a stone and heard a splash. He built a ladder “hagdan” and was able to access the cave and find its hidden beauty, thus the origin of the name Hinagdanan.

The cave’s entrance, which leads to a cavern that is less than a hundred meters long, can only be entered one at a time. The slimy and smooth friction on the walkway is caused by the cave’s natural water droplets.
