Tarsiers are tiny, nocturnal primates native to Southeast Asia, recognized for their enormous eyes, incredible leaping abilities, and exclusive carnivorous diet, making them uniquely fascinating yet highly endangered creatures.

Interesting Facts :
-Can jump backward exactly and leap 40 times their body length
-Venomous primates: Certain tarsiers can secrete toxins to protect themselves and their young
-Largest eyes relative to body size in the mammalian world
-Their ears move independently to detect faint sounds of predators or prey
-Extreme sensitivity to stress can lead to fatal self-harm in captivity

Tarsiers are not only a marvel of nature in terms of evolution and adaptation but also serve as an important ecological indicator of forest health in Southeast Asia. Observing and protecting these tiny primates helps maintain biodiversity and the balance of tropical forest ecosystems
