THE NEW SESSION HALL OF TAGUIG CITY COUNCIL

A defining feature of the new Session Hall of the Taguig City Council is its ability to operate without reliance on electrical lighting during daytime sessions. The space is designed to maximize the use of natural daylight through a calado designed ceiling, ensuring optimal illumination while significantly reducing energy consumption. This approach reflects an integrated effort toward sustainability and energy efficiency within a modern, state-of-the-art facility.

A productive Monday morning with my SP Team during the regular session of the Sangguniang Panlungsod ng Taguig, where we formally presented a series of Committee Reports on SK Budget Ordinances, all unanimously approved by the council.

This effort highlights the dynamic cooperation, technical competence, and resourcefulness of my team. We remain steadfast in our commitment to transparent, responsive, and good governance.

Lubos ang aming pasasalamat sa Diyos sa pagkakaloob Niya sa iyo ng buhay na kapakibakinabang sa iyong kapwa, bayan at Diyos. Nawa ay patuloy ka Niyang pagkalooban ng malusog na pangangatawan at ng marami pang mga kaarawan.

At dahil marami ang hindi nakapanood ng video na ipinalabas sa Sanggunian ay narito ang isang maikling video na nagpapakita ng ilan sa kanyang mga nagawa bilang isang epektibo at mahusay na lingkod bayan ng Taguig.

Committee Hearing of Sangguniang Kabataan Budgets

As Chairperson of the Committee on Finance and Appropriations, I presided over a committee hearing to review the budgets submitted by the following Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) councils for approval:

SK Palingon-Tipas - P4,097,303.43
SK Ligid-Tipas - P3,348,905.12
SK Ibayo-Tipas - P5,393,583.03
SK Rizal - P6,146,464.00
SK Maharlika - P4,783,076.30
SK Napindan - P4,805,226.22
SK Lower Bicutan - P9,140,759.79
SK Pinagsama - P6,332,174.35
SK Fort Bonifacio - P6,855,073.00
SK Upper Bicutan - P7,345,207.11
SK San Miguel - P2,717,600.63

In attendance are Coun. Marisse Balina-Eron, Coun. Fanela Joy Panga-Cruz, Coun. Raul Aquino, Coun. Yasser Pangandaman, Coun. Edgar Victor Baptista, SP Secretary Dickson Rono, the City Budget Office, DILG and concerned SK Officials.

Our review ensured that each SK budget adhered to the legal and procedural requirements outlined in the Local Government Code of 1991 (RA 7160) and the SK Reform Act of 2015 (RA 10742). The review process was conducted with the support of the City Budget Office and DILG Taguig. It aims to uphold transparency, accountability, and the proper appropriations of the 10% barangay general fund designated for SK programs.

After thorough deliberation, the committee approved the SK budget ordinance, as all submissions complied with the necessary requirements. A corresponding committee report will be submitted to the plenary in its regular session for formal enactment.

Taguig Waterlily Livelihood Program: Empowering Women, Making a Difference in Their Lives!

This was one of my first projects when I was elected as a councilor of Taguig, and I am proud that it has continued to thrive and succeed over the years.

I commend the hardworking men and women of the Taguig Waterlily Livelihood Center, who transform water hyacinths into sustainable livelihood opportunities—creating meaningful change in the lives of our constituents.

With the support of Mayor Lani Cayetano beneficiaries gain financial independence and empowerment, proving that where opportunities grow, empowerment blooms!

A heartfelt thank you to the 3rd-year students from PUP Sta. Mesa, College of Communication, Department of Journalism for creating this wonderful video as part of their group project.

I am truly grateful to my colleagues at the Sangguniang Panlungsod ng Taguig headed by our Presiding Officer Vice Mayor Arvin Ian V. Alit for the thoughtful birthday tribute after yesterday’s session. Your warm greetings and well wishes mean a lot to me.

Today is a historic day for the City of Taguig and for us public servants. It marks the first session of the 7th City Council held in the new Session Hall located at the Taguig Convention Center.

Aside from its new home to SP, the hall is state‑of‑the‑art, spacious, and aesthetically Filipino inspired design. Its calado curved ceiling allows the natural ventilation of air and light. Each one of us felt the excitement and pride of performing our duty in such an impressive facility—a true reflection of a transformative, lively, and caring Taguig.

Sinaksihan natin ang paghahandog ng Taguig City General Hospital Outpatient Department na matatagpuan sa C6 Road (South Bound), sa Brgy. Hagonoy. Ito ay proyekto ng Pamahalaang Lungsod ng Taguig upang mapalawig pa ang de-kalidad na serbisyong medical para sa mga Taguigeño.

Ang paghahandog ay pinangunahan ni Mayor Lani Cayetano, Vice Mayor Alit, Cong Ading Cruz, Cong. Jorge Bocobo, Admin Jose Luis Montales, Dr. Cecille Montales, mga kapwa ko konsehal at mga opisyales ng mga barangay ng Taguig.

Nakasama ko rin ang mga mahuhusay na duktor na may ibat-ibang espesyalisasyon. Kabilang ang aking kumpareng Cardiologist na si Dr. Eduardo Yambao na magkakaloob din ng serbisyo sa TCGH na nagmula pa sa St. Lukes Hospital.

Sa ngayon ay Outpatient at Laboratory Services muna ang bubuksan simula bukas (Jan. 30, 2025). Libre ang Outpatient Consultation sa lahat. May 40% discount naman para sa mga Taguigeño sa Outpatient Services, Laboratory Services, at Radiology Services. Bukod pa ang karagdagang 20% diskwento para sa mga Senior Citizens at Persons with Disabilities.

Mayroon Malasakit Center sa Taguig City General Hospital Outpatient Department para sa karagdagang tulong pinansyal at medikal assistance. Hindi pa tumatanggap ng emergency cases. Subalit darating ito kapag binuksan na ang iba pang departamento ng Taguig General Hospital. Bukas ito para sa mga sumusunod na serbisyo. Lunes hanggang Biyernes mula 8 a.m. hanggang 5 p.m. Simula sa Enero 30, 2025.

Ang muling pagbabalik ng P**n Santo Niño sa Kapilya ni San Sebastian matapos ang tradisyunal na paglabas at pagparada nito sa ibat-ibang purok ng Brgy. Wawa.

Binabati natin ang matagumpay at makulay na selebrasyon na ito na pinangunahan ng samahang Friends Again bilang Hermano Mayor ngayong taon at ng ibat-ibang samahan sa Wawa at ng Pamahalaang Brgy. ng Wawa at sa Pamahalaang Lungsod ng Taguig. Gayundin sa Bukluran at kay Rev. Fr. Orlando Cantillon, Rektor at Kura Paroko ng Minor Basilica and Archidiocesan Shrine Parish of St. Anne sa kanyang paggabay sa mga taga Wawa.

Congratulations sa Pamilya ni Aka ER Palima sa pagkabunot nito bilang susunod na Hermano Mayor sa Kapistahan ng Santo Nino sa Taon 2026.

Matapos ang ordinasyon noong nakaraang araw ay sinaksihan natin ang kauna-unahang Misa de Gracia ni Rev. Fr. Jhon Fred Agustin Ma. R. Carranzo SSP na isinagawa sa Our Lady of Holy Rosary Parish sa Lower Bicutan.

Malugod na pagbati ang aking ipinaabot sa pamilya ni Fr. Lennon lalong higit sa kanyang ina na si Elsa na isa sa aking staff at sa pamayanan ng Lower Bicutan dahil sa pagkakaroon ng panibagong pare na tinawag ng ating Panginoon mula sa kanilang lugar.

MALIGAYANG PASKO TAGUIGEÑO

Nawa ngayong kapaskuhan ay mapuspos ng pagpapala at kapayapaan ang tahanan ng bawat Taguigeño. Huwag nating kalimutan na ang tunay na diwa ng Pasko ay ang Dakilang Pagsilang ng ating Panginoong Kristo Hesus. Kaya’t dapat nating ipagdiwang at ipagpasalamat ang araw na ito.

Dalangin ko na tayong lahat ay patuloy na pagkalooban ng Panginoong Dios ng buhay na kasiyasiya, masagana at matagumpay.
