The Civil Aeronautics Board (CAB) has announced a reduction in airline fuel surcharges from Level 15 to Level 13 for the period of June 1โ€“15, bringing down additional travel costs for both domestic and international passengers.

Under the new surcharge level, domestic flight fuel fees will now range from approximately โ‚ฑ423 to โ‚ฑ1,237, while international flight surcharges will decrease to around โ‚ฑ1,396 up to โ‚ฑ10,385 depending on the destination distance.

This is a welcome development for travelers, especially after surcharge rates peaked at Level 19 back in April, when additional charges reached as high as โ‚ฑ1,834 for domestic routes and over โ‚ฑ15,000 for international flights.
