NEWS UPDATE.

PARA SA MGA TRAVELERS. Sa inaprubahang uniform protocol para sa local travel ng IATF, hindi na kailangan sumailalim sa RT-PCR test maliban kung i-require ito ng LGU. Hindi na rin mandatory ang 14-day quarantine pagdating sa lugar na pupuntahan maliban na lang kung may sintomas ng COVID-19.

Ito po ang pangunahing nilalaman ng IATF Resolution No. 101 tungkol sa Uniform Travel Protocols na naaprobahan kahapon (Pebrero 26, 2021) at inanunsyo kaninang umaga (Pebrero 27) ni Sec. Harry Roque:

1. WALA na pong mandatory 14-day quarantine except kung may COVID-19 symptoms ang biyahero pagdating niya sa kaniyang destinasyon.

2. HINDI na po required magpa-COVID-19 testing para makabiyahe unless kung e rerequire ito ng LGU, pero kung mag rerequire man, tanging RT-PCR test lang dapat ang isasagawang test (hindi rapid test).

3. HINDI na kakailanganin ang travel authority at health certificates para makabiyahe. Pero kung isa kang Authorized Person Outside Residence (APOR), kailangan mong magpresenta ng ID, travel order at travel itinerary.

4. Kailangan pa ding sundin ang minimum health standards gaya ng physical distancing, paghuhugas ng kamay, tamang pag-ubo, at pagsusuot ng face masks at face shields.

5. Ang StaySafe.ph System ng DOST ang magiging pangunahing contact tracing system na gagamitin.

Contrary to reports that there is still no travel ban here in the Philippines, DOH clarifies that a ban for travelers from the UK or those with history of travel from the UK has been in effect since 24 December 2020.
