About the recent viral argument in Iloilo — I’d rather not take sides, especially since I wasn’t there and don’t know the full story. What’s clear is that putting others down by flaunting material things online doesn’t do anyone any good. Yes, it’s okay to be proud of what you have, but using it to shame others just to win an argument feels shallow.
At the same time, maybe both parties were just carried away by emotions, fueled by anger (and maybe alcohol). They’re still young, and like anyone, they might regret their actions after the heat of the moment.
Let’s all remember: it’s their conflict, not ours. No one was physically hurt. The least we can do is avoid adding fuel to the fire. Words can cut deep, and public scrutiny can be heavier than we think.
So instead of degrading either side, let’s choose to be kinder and more understanding. 🌸
