Kalanggaman Island in Palompon, Leyte has been ranked 25th in the 2026 World’s 50 Best Beaches, marking its first appearance in the global list. The recognition highlights its natural beauty, including white sandbars, clear waters, and serene surroundings.

Local officials described the achievement as a proud moment for the town, the province, and the Philippines. The list is compiled by 50 Best Beaches based on global travel research and expert insights.

Another Philippine destination, Entalula Beach, topped the 2026 rankings.
