Alinsunod sa Republic Act No. 10054 o ang Motorcycle Helmet Act of 2009, lahat ng motorista at angkas ng motorsiklo ay obligadong magsuot ng standard na helmet habang nasa pampublikong kalsada.

Ang helmet ang pangunahing proteksyon laban sa matinding pinsala sa oras ng aksidente. Ito ay simbolo ng disiplina at malasakit, hindi lang sa sarili kundi sa mga mahal sa buhay na naghihintay sa inyong ligtas na pag-uwi.

Isang paalala mula sa Lokal na Pamahalaan ng Tangalan at Tangalan Municipal Police Station.

The Municipality of Tangalan formally commemorates its 𝟳𝟳𝘁𝗵 𝗬𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝗠𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗮𝗹 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 alongside the 𝟭𝟮𝟳𝘁𝗵 𝗬𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗛𝗲𝗿𝗼𝗲𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗩𝗶𝘃𝗼, in a ceremonial observance of civic legacy, historical consciousness, and cultural pride.

The annual event, known as 𝙏𝙖𝙣𝙜𝙖𝙡𝙖𝙣 𝘿𝙖𝙮, is celebrated every 31st of July to honor two defining historical events:

1. 𝗠𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗮𝗹 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲
The separation of Tangalan from the Municipality of Makato was made official on July 31, 1948, by virtue of Republic Act No. 285, signed into law by then President Elpidio Quirino. This legislative act marked Tangalan’s formal recognition as an independent Local Government Unit (LGU), thus enabling it to operate autonomously under the Philippine Local Government Code.

2. 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗛𝗲𝗿𝗼𝗲𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗩𝗶𝘃𝗼
Dating back to 1898, this commemoration memorializes the resistance of local residents from Barangay Vivo, who orchestrated a calculated rebellion against Spanish colonial forces. Historical accounts narrate that a dinner feast was prepared by the locals wherein the unsuspecting colonizers were attacked and overpowered once they had fallen into drunken stupor. This pivotal act of defiance is seen as one of the earliest symbols of anti-colonial resistance in the region.

These twin commemorations serve to reaffirm the municipality's dedication to preserving local history, promoting civic education, and instilling among its constituents a sense of community identity rooted in courage and autonomy.

The Local Government Unit of Tangalan, under the leadership of Hon. Gene T. Fuentes, Municipal Mayor, and Hon. Gary T. Fuentes, Municipal Vice Mayor, through the Public Information Office extends its invitation to all stakeholders, residents, and guests to join in this annual observance as a tribute to the town’s enduring legacy and progressive future.
