The Painting Contest and Infographic Brochure Contest were successfully held as part of the Tourism Month 2026 celebration of the Municipality of Tomas Oppus.

It was a wonderful opportunity for our participants to showcase their creativity and talent while sharing their own perspective of the beauty, culture, heritage, and tourism potential of Tomas Oppus.

A big thank you to everyone who participated, supported, and helped make these activities successful. Your talent and effort truly made the event more meaningful.

TOURISM MONTH CELEBRATION | HAPPENING TODAY

Today, September 28, 2026, the LGU Tomas Oppus through the Municipal Tourism Office conducted the Painting Contest and Infographic Brochure Contest as part of this year’s Tourism Month Celebration.

Our local participants are putting their creativity and talent on display as they showcase the beauty, culture, attractions, and tourism potential of Tomas Oppus through art and informative visuals.

A day filled with creativity, local pride, and appreciation for what our municipality has to offer.

Hello, PAUJOG RUN 2026 participants! 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

Your race kit is ready! Please claim your race bib, event shirt (if purchased), and other race essentials on the following schedule:

📅 July 18, 2026 (Saturday)
🕘 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
📍 Lobby, Municipal Building, Brgy. Bogo, Tomas Oppus, Southern Leyte

If you are unable to claim your kit on Saturday, you may also claim it on race day:

📅 July 19, 2026 (Sunday)
🕒 3:00 AM – 4:00 AM
📍 Event Venue – Municipal Grounds, Brgy. Bogo, Tomas Oppus, Southern Leyte

Ms. Cristine Claire Lacierda, Batch 2025-2026 Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) alumna from SLSU-TO is officially in the running as of the 19 women from different municipalities vying for the prestigious crown at the Miss Southern Leyte 2026 Grand Coronation Night on June 29, 2026 at the Sunken Garden, Capitol Grounds, Asuncion, Maasin City.
