Bohol welcomed the maiden chartered flight from Jakarta–Bali, Indonesia, via Citilink, marking a new international air connection that strengthens the province’s links with Indonesian travelers and the wider Southeast Asian market.

The inaugural arrival on September 17, 2026, at the Bohol-Panglao International Airport (BPIA) opens new opportunities for tourism, business, cultural exchange, and people-to-people connections between Bohol and Indonesia.

Operated by Citilink, a subsidiary of Garuda Indonesia, the new route provides Indonesian travelers with more convenient access to Bohol’s natural attractions, cultural heritage, and diverse tourism experiences.

The new route supports the province’s continuing efforts to expand international connectivity and provide travelers with more convenient access to Bohol’s natural attractions, cultural heritage, and sustainable tourism experiences in the Philippines’ first and only UNESCO Global Geopark.

The Provincial Government of Bohol, under Gov. Aris Aumentado, welcomes this new connection as part of its commitment to strengthening tourism and economic opportunities—priorities underscored in its Strategic Governance Roadmap.

We understand that this adjustment may impact your travel plans, and we sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Please be assured that this increase remains temporary and will be lifted once fuel prices stabilize.
