Join us as we celebrate National Heritage Month through one of the city’s most colorful and cherished cultural traditions showcasing the artistry, creativity, and grace of true Zamboangueño talent.

FESTIVAL DE LAS BELLAS Y FLORES was first launched in 2003 by the City Government of Zamboanga through the City Tourism Office. The Festival de las Bellas y Flores is the city’s version of the traditional “Santa Cruzan” held every May in celebration of National Heritage Month.
For more than two decades, the festival has highlighted the ingenuity and artistry of Zamboangueño fashion designers whose beautiful creations are modeled by proud Zamboangueñas born and raised in the city.
This year’s competition will feature the “Philippine Terno” with the theme “Flores de Mayo,” where participating entries will showcase stunning pastel-colored creations inspired by flowers and tradition.
One of the most anticipated highlights of the celebration is the Arco Making Contest. The arco, or decorative floral arch, symbolizes beauty, faith, festivity, and Filipino tradition, it reflects the creativity, craftsmanship, and cultural identity of the participating groups while preserving an important part of local heritage for future generations.
