A team of five Japanese tourists arrived in Ghizer on 20th August 2025. They visited the Tourism Office Ghizer, where Mr. Fiyaz ul Rehman, Assistant Director warmly briefed them about the region and safety guidelines. 🙌

They headed towards Kozsar Mathrndam in Qurambar Valley for climbing 🏔️ and are expected to return on 9th October 2025.

Ghizer is proud to host international climbers and showcase the true hospitality of Gilgit-Baltistan. 💚

🚨 𝐏𝐮𝐛𝐥𝐢𝐜 𝐍𝐨𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐞: 𝐈𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐔𝐩𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐓𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐆𝐢𝐥𝐠𝐢𝐭-𝐁𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧 🚨

As per the Government of Gilgit-Baltistan, all tour operators and transporters must now obtain proper registration from the Directorate of Tourist Services (DTS) Pakistan and Gilgit-Baltistan under the Tourism and Hotel Rules 2020. This step has been taken to ensure safety, transparency, and regulated tourism operations in the region.

🛑 Effective from 07 October 2020, any unregistered tour operator or transporter operating in Gilgit-Baltistan will be considered illegal and subject to legal action under Section 15 of the 2020 Rules and Section 260 of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC) 1898.

🔍 Any individual or group found using unregistered services will also be held accountable and fined up to Rs. 50,000.

✅ Mandatory Requirements:

DTS certification from Pakistan and Gilgit-Baltistan

Submission of all legal documents

Clear record of staff and tour arrangements

This is a serious warning to avoid using unlicensed or unverified travel services in Gilgit-Baltistan. Responsible tourism begins with legal and registered service providers.

📢 All tourists and stakeholders are strongly advised to comply with the law and confirm the registration status of tour companies before booking any services.

اطلاع برائے سیاح حضرات

ڈپٹی کمشنر دیامر کی ہدایت پر ناران-کاغان روڈ کو عوامی مفاد میں 15 جون سے18 جون 2025 تک ہر قسم کی ٹریفک کے لیے بند کیا جا رہا ہے۔
یہ فیصلہ NHA کی جانب سے مانسہرہ تا ناران مہانڈری پل کو کشادہ اور محفوظ بنانے کے منصوبے کے تحت کیا گیا ہے۔ مرمتی اور تعمیراتی کام اتوار کی شام سے شروع ہو کر چار روز تک جاری رہے گا۔
تمام مقامی و غیرملکی سیاح حضرات سے گزارش ہے کہ ان ایام میں ناران، کاغان اور گلگت بلتستان کا سفر نہ کریں اور متبادل طور پر شاہراہِ قراقرم ہائی وے بیشام کے راستے کا استعمال کریں۔
انتظامیہ کی جانب سے یہ اقدام عوامی سلامتی اور سہولت کے پیشِ نظر اٹھایا گیا ہے، جس پر عوام سے بھرپور تعاون کی توقع ہے۔
