🚨 𝐏𝐮𝐛𝐥𝐢𝐜 𝐍𝐨𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐞: 𝐈𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐔𝐩𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐓𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐆𝐢𝐥𝐠𝐢𝐭-𝐁𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧 🚨
As per the Government of Gilgit-Baltistan, all tour operators and transporters must now obtain proper registration from the Directorate of Tourist Services (DTS) Pakistan and Gilgit-Baltistan under the Tourism and Hotel Rules 2020. This step has been taken to ensure safety, transparency, and regulated tourism operations in the region.
🛑 Effective from 07 October 2020, any unregistered tour operator or transporter operating in Gilgit-Baltistan will be considered illegal and subject to legal action under Section 15 of the 2020 Rules and Section 260 of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC) 1898.
🔍 Any individual or group found using unregistered services will also be held accountable and fined up to Rs. 50,000.
✅ Mandatory Requirements:
DTS certification from Pakistan and Gilgit-Baltistan
Submission of all legal documents
Clear record of staff and tour arrangements
This is a serious warning to avoid using unlicensed or unverified travel services in Gilgit-Baltistan. Responsible tourism begins with legal and registered service providers.
