Astore: Senior PPP Leader and Former GB Minister Abdul Hamid Khan Passes Away

Senior Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader, former provincial minister, and three-time member of the Gilgit-Baltistan Assembly from Astore-I, Abdul Hamid Khan, has passed away.

Abdul Hamid Khan served as a member of the provincial assembly on three occasions and also held the positions of provincial minister and parliamentary secretary.

He was the uncle of PPP candidate Fahad Hanif Khan, who recently contested the GBA-13 Astore-I constituency in the 2026 Gilgit-Baltistan elections.
