بس اب اگلے حادثے کا انتظار کرو اور یہی گھسا پِٹا راگ الاپتے رہو کیونکہ تم پاکستان کے سر کا تاج ہو اور “مثالِ گوہرِ نایاب تم پتھر میں رہتے ہو” رہتے کم مرتے زیادہ ہو-
خبردار اس سڑک کے دیکھ بھال کے نام پہ اڑائے جانے والوں کروڑوں روپوں پہ بات کی تو یا بغیر کسی جانچ کے اس سڑک پر مسافر بسوں کے نام پر ان قتل گاہوں کو چلانے کی آزادی دینے والے ادارے کی بات کی تو اور کوئی کرے تو اسے دینداری، وطن سے یکطرفہ محبت اور وفاداری کے نام پر بھاشن دے دینا اور ضرورت پڑی تو غداری کا پرچہ بھی ٹھوک دینا-

حادثوں میں گزرنے والے تو بس جان سے جاتے ہیں تم اجتماعی طور پر روح سے ہی گئے ہو-آپس میں ہزاروں سال پہلے اور کئی کوسوں دور مسائل پردست و گریبان رہو اور بس وقت گزارو جب تک ہے!

Hunza’s remarkable custom of communal qurbani

As a part of an historic custom, all sacrificial animals are slaughtered at a community centre.

Moreover, the meat is then divided among the many native inhabitants. It has the unique custom of distributing an equal share of the meat to all households.

This means that everybody gets a share regardless of whether or not they bought a sacrificial animal.

In addition to this, the owners of the animals remain anonymous as a part of the tradition.

The animals are slaughtered in the garden of the community centre where volunteers supervised the process.

The locals who have their own animals offer them for qurbani.

However, their names are kept secret. Since the majority of the local population cannot afford animals for qurbani, the locals follow this process.

Regardless of no contribution, everybody is provided with an ensured equal share of meat.

People who decide to volunteer are the ones who are divided into different groups and assigned with areas for the door-to-door distribution of sacrificial meat.

Moreover, it turns out that this custom has also been gaining popularity in other areas of Gilgit Baltistan.

Whereas people in Hunza have been following this tradition of qurbani since centuries.
