A Journey That Helps – Discover Pakistan from the Inside
When we organize our trips to the Himalayas, we want them to be more than just a beautiful journey. We want them to have a deeper meaning.
That is why, as a travel agency, together with our foundation, we try to organize our trips in a way that allows us to support local families and small communities along the way.
In Astore, in one of the mountain villages located at an altitude of around 3,500 meters above sea level, we have a family with whom we have been connected for a long time. When we arrive with our guests, we spend several days together. We organize camping by the river, go fishing, make a campfire, cook, sing and dance. There is a lot of laughter, conversation and simple joy.
But most importantly, this family is not just our host. We give them work. They cook for us, help us as local guides and take part in organizing our stay. This allows them to earn money that they can use for their everyday needs.
We also try never to arrive empty-handed. We bring food for the winter, medicines, and toys and other useful things for the children.
And this is what matters most to us.
We want our clients not only to see the Himalayas, the mountains and the incredible landscapes. We want them to discover Pakistan from the inside – through its people, their everyday lives, traditions, hospitality and stories.
It is a unique experience when you sit by a campfire beside the river in the evening, surrounded by local people, sharing food, talking and laughing together. And suddenly you realize that despite speaking different languages and coming from different cultures, we can all enjoy the same simple moments of happiness.
For the family, it means several wonderful days and an opportunity to earn money that they genuinely need. For our guests, it means unforgettable memories and the feeling that their journey has also done something good. And for us, it is an enormous satisfaction to be able to combine our love of travel with real help.
That is why we try to organize every trip in a way that allows us to travel, discover and help at the same time.
Because Pakistan is not only about mountains. It is, above all, about people.
