One-Day Training Session by Rescue 1122*
*Dated: 30th September, 2026*

As per the directions of Directorate of Higher Education khyber Pakhtunkhwa Peshawar.
a one-day training session on ''Basic Life Saving''was organized at Government Girls Degree College Khalabat Township Sector-3, Haripur.

The session was conducted under the supervision of Training Wing In-charge Mr. Zeeshan and his team from Rescue 1122, Haripur.

The training was arranged and coordinated by *Ms. Sadaf Masud, Assistant Professor & HOD of BS Sports Sciences and Physical Education / Incharge SOPs, GGDC KTS Haripur.*

During the session, the Rescue 1122 team briefed the students and faculty members about the services of Rescue 1122, Basic First Aid, Emergency Response, and Basic Fire Fighting techniques. Practical demonstrations were also given to handle any emergency situation effectively.

The main objective of the training was to enable students to protect their own and others' lives and property in a better way during any emergency.

At the end of the session, students eagerly participated in all physical activities and practical demonstrations, which showed their keen interest and enthusiasm for such healthy and life-saving activities.

The college administration highly appreciated the efforts of Rescue 1122 Haripur team and expressed desire to organize more such training sessions in the future.

*Monitoring Visit to GGDC KTS, Haripur*
Mrs Sanjida Haleema, Asso.Prof, Government Girls Degree College No. 2 Haripur,* visited *Government Girls Degree College KTS, Haripur* on *29th September 2026* in her capacity as *Monitoring Incharge, Haripur Region.*
During the visit, she thoroughly inspected the college premises and reviewed both academic and administrative affairs. She examined staff and student attendance, cleanliness, discipline, record maintenance, and the overall functioning of the institution.
She highly appreciated the dedicated efforts of the *Principal, Professor Farah Naz,* along with the faculty and staff, for maintaining a conducive academic environment and ensuring the efficient and smooth functioning of the college.
The visit concluded on a positive note with valuable observations and constructive guidance for further improvement.

The English Literary Society and the Science Society jointly organized a seminar on World Ozone Day and Ozone Layer Preservation, under the guidance of Ms. Farhat, Ms. Fouzia and the faculty of the English Department. The seminar was held at Government Girls Degree College KTS Haripur on 19 September 2026.
Students from both societies participated actively through presentations, speeches, a skit and various creative activities, highlighting the importance of protecting the ozone layer and the role each individual plays in preserving the environment.
The Principal graced the occasion with her presence and appreciated the students for their outstanding performances, creativity and dedication. She praised the efforts of the organizers and faculty members and encouraged students to continue taking part in such educational and awareness-raising activities.
The seminar emphasized that the ozone layer shields life on Earth from harmful ultraviolet radiation, and that responsible actions, such as reducing pollution, conserving energy and raising awareness, contribute to a sustainable future.
The college administration extends its gratitude to all the faculty members and students for making this event a success.

A poster competition on “Global Warming and Environmental Protection” was held at Government Girls Degree College Khalabat Township (GGDC KTS) on 16th September 2026. The event was organized by the Social Science Society, led by Ms. Zartasha Gul. Students participated enthusiastically and showcased their creativity, innovative ideas, and environmental awareness through impressive and informative posters. Faculty members attended the event and appreciated the students’ creative efforts and active participation. The event was honored by the gracious presence of the Principal, whose presence encouraged and motivated the participants. The posters were properly and fairly judged based on creativity, relevance, presentation, and effectiveness of the message.
At the conclusion, the Principal distributed certificates among the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd position holders and appreciated the efforts of all participants.

Defence Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm and patriotic spirit at GGDC KTS College to pay tribute to the brave soldiers of Pakistan who sacrificed their lives for the defence and sovereignty of the country.

The ceremony began with the recitation of the Holy Quran, followed by the national anthem. The Principal and faculty members addressed the students and highlighted the importance of Defence Day. They paid rich tribute to the armed forces and emphasized the values of courage, patriotism, discipline, sacrifice, and national unity.

The Annual Staff Meeting for the academic session 2026–27 was convened today with the entire college faculty in attendance. The session was presided over by the Worthy Principal, Prof. Farah Naz, who addressed the staff and outlined the key priorities and directives for the new academic year.
*Key Decisions and Directives*

*1. Directorate Compliance & Maintenance of Records*
The concerned staff members are directed to systematically organize and file all official records to ensure transparency and easy accessibility.

*2. Submission of Study Schemes*
All faculty members are required to prepare and submit their comprehensive study schemes to their respective Heads of Departments by *September 2, 2026*.

*3. Revised College Timings & Timetable*
The new college working hours will be *8:30 AM to 1:45 PM*. A revised timetable has been finalized in accordance with the extended schedule and will be followed with immediate effect.

*4. Submission to Departmental Coordinators*
In addition to submitting study schemes to HODs, faculty members are also instructed to submit copies to their respective Departmental Coordinators for record and monitoring purposes.

*5. Annual Duty Allocation*
The Annual Duty List for the session 2026–27 was reviewed, finalized, and duly signed by all staff members.

*6. Practical Logbooks & Documentation*
Emphasis was placed on the proper maintenance of practical logbooks. All concerned departments are directed to ensure that practical work is duly recorded and documented as per prescribed standards.

*7. Implementation of Revised Course File Format*
A new standardized pattern for course files was presented and discussed. All faculty members are instructed to adopt and implement the revised format for course files with immediate effect.

All staff members are directed to ensure strict compliance with the above instructions to maintain academic discipline and institutional efficiency.
