a. All entry into Langkawi Island is to be via air only
b. Minimum stay is three days
c. Travelers are to be in Langkawi Island only for a minimum of 7 days
d. On the 8th day, Travelers are allowed to travel domestically via air or sea with the following conditions:

I. RT – PCR covid-19 test is negative on day 8 or 72 hours before leaving Langkawi Island.
II. Travel to areas declared under enhanced movement control order (MCO) is prohibited.
III. Travelers are to be fully vaccinated, minimum 14 days after the second vaccination dose or 28 days after one dose depending on the type of vaccine

• COVID-19AstraZeneca (Oxford-AstraZeneca)
• CoronaVac (Sinovac)
• Convidecia (CanSino)

a. Children below 18 are allowed to travel together with their parents/guardian, who are fully vaccinated.

b. The following individuals are not allowed to participate in the International Tourism Bubble Langkawi:

 Positive for COVID infection 19
 Close contact to positive cases
 Individuals subject to a Home Surveillance Order (HSO)
 Individuals who are subjected to mandatory quarantine
 Individuals arriving from high-risk countries and
 Travelers who display Covid-19 symptoms

c. Travelers must have a travel insurance coverage of minimum USD 80,000 including coverage for Covid-19 for their full stay in Malaysia

d. Travelers in transit at KLIA – 1 at Kuala Lumpur are required to go through various procedures including the downloading of the tracing app (MySejahtera)

e. It is compulsory to book a travel package for a minimum of three to seven days from a company registered and license under the Ministry Of Tourism And Culture (MOTAC).

f. At the time of this announcement, all Countries are eligible for this travel bubble arrangement except for the following countries:

KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 11 (Reuters) - Malaysia will reopen its borders to international visitors by Jan. 1 at the latest, a government advisory council said on Thursday, as the country seeks to revive its ailing tourism sector.

The Southeast Asian country has gradually reopened its economy in recent weeks as coronavirus infection rates have slowed amid a ramped-up vaccination programme.
More than three-quarters of Malaysia's 32 million population are vaccinated, government statistics show.

Former prime minister Muhyiddin Yassin, who chairs a council tasked with spearheading Malaysia's economic recovery programme, told reporters the tourism industry was recovering too slowly without foreigners and noted that operators needed time to resume businesses.
Muhyiddin, however, said infection control measures such as COVID-19 tests will remain in place, with authorities to determine entry based on the COVID-19 situation in originating countries, and other factors.
He did not state when a firm date for reopening will be announced, but said the decision was still being detailed by health and security agencies.
Malaysia this week announced it would launch a vaccinated travel lane with neighbouring Singapore on Nov. 29, allowing quarantine-free travel for inoculated people between both countries.

The Special Committee on Pandemic Management has approved the International Tourism Bubble (Inbound) for the Langkawi Pilot Project.

International tourists must meet the requirements and comply with the SOP as follows:

Individuals who are fully vaccinated. Children under 18 years old must be present with their parents/ guardians who are fully vaccinated.
The list of countries allowed will be determined by the Immigration Department of Malaysia, Ministry of Health , and Ministry of Foreign Affairs
