The US-based media organization, CNN, has included Gilgit-Baltistan (GB) in the list of top 25 must-visit destinations for 2025. This breathtaking region is famous for its natural beauty and is a must-visit destination for adventure-seekers.
It boasts some of the world's highest mountains, second only to the K2 in the world's list of peak summits, and attracts tourists and climbers alike every year in large numbers, where they indulge in trekking, paragliding, mountaineering, and other exciting activities.
Even though GB is not easy to reach because flight schedules are irregular and roads become blocked during different seasons, still it remains an adventure destination, offering pristine landscapes with thrilling outdoor experiences.
CNN points out that the region attracts mountaineers, as five of the world's 14 highest peaks are located within GB, making it a paradise for mountaineers.
