(1) Invitation Letter of Duly Authorized Entity or Confirmation Letter of Invitation issued by relevant Chinese entities(original).

(2) Documents on the commercial activity issued by a trade partner in China, or trade fair invitation relevant entity or individual. The invitation letter should contain:

a) Information on the applicant (full name, gender, date of birth, etc.)

b) Information on the planned visit (purpose of visit, arrival and departure dates, place(s) to be visited, relations between the applicant and the inviting entity or individual, financial source for expenditures)

c) Information on the inviting entity or individual (name, contact telephone number, address, official stamp, signature of the legal representative or the inviting individual)

It's coming! This week Urumqi's first high-speed train arrived at the station for trial runs on the completed track over the next 120 days.

Average speed? 200-250 km/hr. Yea...I'm excited ;)

Details have emerged about yesterday's attack here in Urumqi, Xinjiang. According to an official report, 3 people were killed and 79 injured (4 critically) when attackers near the Urumqi train station exit attacked with knives and eventually an explosion of some sort. Ethnicities of attackers and victims has not been disclosed.

This is a terrible development out here and I ask that you respect the gravity of what's happened here by not commenting with hateful or insensitive remarks.

This hits home for me as I live not more than a few miles from the train station here in Xinjiang's capital of Urumqi.

Urumqi is confusing. Yesterday was a nice warm spring day but I woke up this morning to a huge dump of snow. This evening it has all melted away.
