Friends School Friends caters to children aged 12 mos. to 5+ years. Our mission is to develop a love for learning while promoting a positive sense of self in every child.

Our goal at Friends is to develop a love for learning in every child while promoting the development of a positive sense of self. The central idea governing our philosophy is that children learn through play. While the types of play evolve as a child grows, play will always be central to learning. Play creates a sense of happiness and pleasure – which acts as positive reinforcement to repeat the a

ctivity – this repetition then creates a sense of mastery and skill. Early childhood experiences play an instrumental role in determining long term success. Research today indicates that the strengths and weaknesses of a child are determined by their formative experiences and opportunities. We, at Friends are committed to providing a safe, nurturing, predictable environment – full of opportunities to develop the social, emotional and cognitive abilities of every child in the best way possible. Going side by side with learning through play is allowing a child’s curiosity to guide his/her exploration. In a safe, nurturing environment and in the presence of consistent, attuned adults – a child is able to act on his/her curiosity to explore and discover!
