Ranikot Fort The Great Wall of Sindh!
Did you know that Sindh is home to one of the world's largest forts?
Located in the Kirthar mountain range, Ranikot Fort is famous for its massive stone walls, stretching across the rugged hills of Sindh. Its impressive fortifications have earned it the name โThe Great Wall of Sindh.โ
Located near Sann, around 90 km north of Hyderabad, the fort lies within Kirthar National Park.
A Glimpse into History
Although its exact origins remain uncertain, the fort's present structure is commonly associated with the Talpur era. Nawab Wali Muhammad Leghari is often credited with its construction during the Talpur dynasty.
From its historic gateways to its vast defensive walls, Ranikot Fort reflects the remarkable architectural heritage of Sindh.
