Murree Declares Snow Emergency

The snowfall period, from December 2 to March 15, 2025, has prompted authorities to activate 19 emergency check posts in Murree.
Once Murree reaches its vehicle capacity, additional vehicles will be redirected from the GT Road and Motorway toll plazas
To improve tourist experiences, hotel, motel, and guesthouse rates have been categorised and fixed. Overcharging by hotels will lead to sealing, while set prices for food, beverages, and recreational activities will be enforced, with violators facing heavy fines.

- A highly commendable initiative in Mansehra, Mahandri, where people from the Kaghan Valley and Naran have started cooking food on the roads for tourists stranded due to the bridge collapse between Balakot and Naran. On one hand, they are feeding the tourists, and on the other hand, they have opened their homes to provide shelter. This effort is truly praiseworthy and deserves all the appreciation it can get.

SELENA KHAWAJA ON NANGA PARBAT!
Selena Khawaja, along with Fazal Ali and Niamat Karim Farhadi have started their summit push on Nanga Parbat (8126m), at approximately 10:30pm on 10th of July 2024.

Selena requests the prayers and well wishes of all her family, friends and followers as she takes on the extreme challenge to summit Nanga Parbat as her first eight thousand meter peak.

She was last seen at Camp 3 of Nanga Parbat, at an elevation of approximately 6850m above sea level. Estimated summit time is 10 till 11 am on 11th of July 2024.

*BREAKING: Samina Baig Evacuated from K2 Base Camp after Falling Ill*

Islamabad, June 7, 2024 - Renowned mountaineer Samina Baig, who was attempting to summit K2, was successfully evacuated from the base camp to CMH Hospital in Skardu after falling ill during her acclimatization process.

According to sources, Baig was transported on horseback for 48 hours, battling harsh weather conditions and a deteriorating health condition, before reaching Askoli, the last village in the Skardu Shiger Valley. From there, she was transferred to a jeep and taken to Skardu by road.

The Pakistan Army played a crucial role in the evacuation, with army personnel from FCNA arranging an airlift from the nearby village of Dasu. A team of army and AKUH medical professionals are currently assessing Baig's condition at CMH Hospital, with an army air ambulance on standby in Rawalpindi, ready to transport her to Islamabad if necessary.

The evacuation effort was a collaborative effort, with the GB government and community leadership also providing support. Baig's condition is being closely monitored, and updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
