Do you have the courage to explore Pakistan's most dangerous jeep tracks!

Pakistan is home to some of the world's most dangerous mountain roads, where traveling is not for the faint of heart. These roads are not just roads, but a test of nerves, where a mistake of an inch can lead to a thousand-foot deep chasm.

List of the most dangerous roads:

Ferry Meadows Track (Raikot to Tattu): According to the World Health Organization (WHO), this is the second most dangerous road in the world! This 16-kilometer-long dirt road is cut through high cliffs with no safety fences.

2026 Update: Due to landslides, travelers have to cross a dangerous section on foot and change to another jeep.

Shamshal Valley Road (Hunza): It is considered one of the most difficult roads in the world. This narrow road is built on high cliffs above the Shamshal River. This road is closed for 8 months of the year due to snowfall.

Khaltaro Valley Road (Harmosh): This 14-km route from Sassi to Khaltaro is so vertical that it takes your breath away.

Seri Paye Trek (Kaghan): This route above Shogran is famous for its steep climbs and mud, where only special 4x4 jeeps can go.

Gilgit-Skardu Road: This is the artery of Baltistan but is considered extremely dangerous due to landslides and deep ravines.

Essential safety instructions for 2026:

Local drivers are mandatory: Only well trained licensed local drivers are allowed to drive jeeps on these routes as they are experts in these turns.

4WD jeeps only: Never make the mistake of taking a regular car, only powerful four-wheel drive jeeps are successful here.

Best time: June to September is the best time to visit these areas. Avoid traveling during rain or at night.
